Fascination for Tom Welling

My husband, Roel, bought DVDs of Smallville (Seasons 1-5), as I get to watch it.. I find Clark Kent (Tom Welling) kinda cute. My husband and I had DVD marathons whenever he's having his rest day. I think the story of Captain Barbell was paterned on Smallville.

Sorry ladies, but Tom is off the market! He married Jamie White in July 2002, after they'd been dating for three years. Named one of People Magazine's 'Breakthrough Stars of 2001'. Is the second cousin of Reed Nilssen, Swedish snowboarder who received a bronze medal in the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. In 2001 he was cast as the teenaged Clark Kent on the WB series Smallville. As the awkward young superhero with many opportunities to bear his chiseled chest, Welling won a Teen Choice award and was consequently branded a breakthrough star.

Tom Welling acted in a few school theater productions, but didn't pursue an acting career right after high school. When he graduated, he took a job as a construction worker - while doing some modelling on the side. Tom scored contracts with companies like Abercrombie and Fitch before moving out to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Shortly after the big move, Tom landed a part on Judging Amy for six episodes as Karate Rob.

Tom Welling gained mainstream recognition when he landed the lead role of Clark Kent on the WB show, Smallville. Tom beat out thousands of hopefuls in a nationwide search for a fresh face to play the young Superman.
